Direct Low Pressure Fire Protection System

Direct Low Pressure Fire Protection System DLP is an automatic tube based fire detection and suppression system designed for rapid protection of electrical panels, electrical cabinets, control panels, switchgear, UPS cabinets, server racks, CNC machines, generators, compressors and other enclosed high-risk equipment. The system uses a flexible heat sensitive detection tube to detect abnormal heat and initiate fire suppression directly at the protected equipment.

In a Direct Low Pressure DLP Fire Protection System, the detection tube is routed inside the protected enclosure close to potential ignition and heat-producing components. When the tube reaches its specified activation temperature, it opens at the heated location and releases the stored extinguishing agent into the protected enclosure according to the selected system design.

Working Principle: The detection tube is installed close to potential fire sources such as power supplies, circuit breakers, contactors, terminals, cable connections and other heat-producing components. During normal operation the system remains ready. When excessive heat reaches the specified activation condition, the tube opens at the heated location and allows the extinguishing agent to discharge into the protected enclosure.

Direct Release Technology: The DLP configuration combines the heat detection and agent discharge function through the detection tube according to the selected system design. This enables the extinguishing agent to be released close to the point where abnormal heat is detected.
